Innovative treatments for general wellness and effective recovery from injuries
In 2016, I embarked on an ambitious journey and opened the doors to Alanbrooke Spa, dedicated to aiding individuals in their recovery from sports-related injuries and promoting overall well-being. To begin with, the spa housed only a cryospa, a cutting-edge cold therapy treatment designed to accelerate healing and reduce inflammation. Having personally experienced the ups and downs of sports injuries during my time playing ladies' football and hockey, I understood the profound significance of effective recovery methods. This first-hand knowledge fuelled my passion to create a space serving the needs of both professional and amateur athletes, offering them the finest facilities to enhance their recuperation process.
As Alanbrooke Spa flourished over the years, I decided to further amplify its offerings to better serve our clientele. In 2019, we introduced an infrared sauna, designed to provide therapeutic warmth that could be especially beneficial for sports enthusiasts and other individuals undergoing recovery and rehabilitation. By incorporating this additional feature, I sought to bolster our mission to cater to a diverse clientele and offer them holistic solutions to their physical challenges.
The impact of Alanbrooke Spa has been profound, as it has become a sought-after sanctuary for a wide range of competitive sportspeople, from seasoned professionals to aspiring young athletes. The effectiveness of our cryospa and infrared sauna treatments is exemplified in the heartwarming story of Zac, a young and promising track athlete. Just weeks away from the Ulster schools and Irish schools' finals, Zac encountered a distressing pulled muscle that jeopardized his chances of participating in both events.
His concerned mother brought him to the spa in the hopes of facilitating a swift and complete recovery. Collaborating closely with Zac, we devised a tailored plan of cryospa and infrared sauna sessions, meticulously crafted to accelerate his healing process. Zac made a remarkable recovery and showcased his determination and talent in both finals, much to the delight of his family and supporters.
Witnessing the transformative effects of our treatments on Zac's journey, I became even more motivated to extend my help to other young athletes facing similar challenges. Our spa has since been frequented by a growing number of young athletes, seeking support in their recovery journeys and finding the strength to overcome obstacles they encounter in their chosen sports.
